Lundazi Artist Dies After His Boat Capsized While Shooting A Music Video

A dark cloud has engulfed the Tumbuka Community and the entire music industry following the death of Moses Banda popularly known as Mozy B.

Following the information from our source say the artist has died on Sunday afternoon while in a music video shooting project.

According to Amoeba, a fellow Tumbuka musician and a friend to the deceased, the Doctor Simbiyamoto creator has died after a boat he was in, had capsized while shooting a music video.

“I am announcing with heavy sadness that my friend and brother Mozy B is dead following the sinking of the boat he was in when shooting a video,” said the visibly sad man.

He also added that there were five people in the boat but the other four managed to swim and only Mozy B failed to swim leading to his death.

Following the incident, some people rushed to the scene where they managed to retrieve the body of the fallen Tumbuka music heavyweight and rushed it to Kasenga Health Centre for treatment but he was pronounced dead upon arrival at the facility.

Amongst others, the artists is famed for singing songs such as Doctor Simbiyamoto, Mr Felani Ndlovu, Kukaya, just to mention but a few.

Mozy B hailed from Lundazi in Zambia, an area very close to Mzimba District.
