I’ve always flagged Slap Dee to the most outstanding artist in the last decade plus. In my analysis there is no artist who started music in his time who has remained as relevant as him and has continued to command good following.
Trying to be at the top of an everyday changing industry comes with alot of challenges but he’s there floating. King indeed!
His new release without doubt its a song which fans will grow to love. Our expectation could have been different considering that a big name in Africa’s Hip hop is featured, but its something which will sit on the fans soon. That hook is magical.
What are my pick points on the song.
Slap Dee is a pusher getting a guy like Cassper on a song i a dream for many artists – I give him 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ for that.
This song not far fetched from his song with Patoranking, I actually feel there was more work on Lituaation that this release even if its some 4yrs ago release.
Impressing and disappointing at the same time, you will note that the young rising star in Xain actually had a good shift on this song than Cassper Nyovest , don’t even argue with me I’ve not eaten😅
I’ve seen Bobby give reasons as to why the young man couldn’t feature In the video mainly being passport glitches. Personally I feel the reason advanced in not good enough. We live in a very creative world , so we must limit ourselves to circumstances. Slap Dee could have still gotten a few shots locally with him. Non of us would have been noticed that they shot in Zambia. This was a big shadow on the youngster.
Cassper himself was too casual with the song. It was a by the way. I don’t know if he was paid, but if he was, he needed to bring himself out more. He probably didn’t understand how big this collaboration was for Slap Dee. One or two more good location for his verse, two more outfits would have exhibited extra effort. I love the shot of slap dee in the back seat. I expected that from Cassper.
Production wise the song was poorly mixed. He should listen to Mother Tongue and compare the two. Overall – Good Effort.
