Danny TSG took to his social media page and wrote:

Dear Kwacha MUSIC Awards and Sun FM Zambia, I have chosen to speak out for the Christian Hip Hop community in Zambia. I am humbly requesting that you consider creating at least two categories – “Best Gospel Rap Album” and “Best Gospel Rap Song.”

You might or might not be aware but there are Christians who are using rap as a platform to address different issues and impact society positively. As a person who has been actively involved in the Christian Hip Hop community and also mainstream circles, I believe it would be a plus for the KMAs to consider this as there is a whole group of artists who I couldn’t even manage to have put on this poster that are doing massive things.

Take for instance myself, I have collaborated with Ace Harris who is a Grammy Award Winning producer and VP/A&R at Reach Records. A label owned by one of the biggest Christian Hip Hop Artists – Lecrae 🙏.

I believe me achieving such a thing is a big win for not only me but Zambia at large. But even such an achievement has gone unnoticed by platforms like KMA because there isn’t a proper platform for some of these wins to be seen. I am only one of the many people putting in a lot of work to push in a genre that gets little or no recognition. The people on the poster are probably only 5% of the number of Christian Hip Hop artists we have in Zambia doing amazing stuff.

Dear KMAs, I humbly ask that you consider this request as that will encourage us that Zambian music is being pushed holistically. Your efforts to build our music industry through this ceremony are highly appreciated and we hope that you continue.
