Zambian Music has continued to grow and getting recognition beyond the borders.. Shows the many nominations our artists are getting from international awards like the African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) .
Last year our very own Bombshell scooped the Best Female Rapper Southern Africa in the awards show which were held virtually for the past two years due to the Outbreak Of Covid 19.
Tagged “This is Africa”, the award show seeks to consolidate on the growth of the previous award ceremonies and the massive growth of African music culture. It has been a great year of good music on the African music scene and many African artists did the continent proud.
This year we have Slapdee and Macky 2 making their appearances again with Towela Kaira making it to the list for the first time..
Slapdee and Macky 2 are nominated in the Best Male Southern Africa alongside Mark Exdous (Mozambique), Edgar Muzah (Zimbabwe) and Focalistic, Dlala Thuzkin, Zakes Bantwini, Master KG (all from South Africa).
While Towela Kaira nominted in the Best Female Southern Africa up against DBN Gogo (South Africa), Ammara Brown (Zimbabwe), Mpho Sebina ( Botswana), Msaki ( South Africa), Gemma Griffiths (Zimbabwe), Makhadzi (South Africa) and Shekinah ( South Africa).
